When Jodie Meeks announced that he was forgoing his remaining eligibility to enter the NBA Draft, he also made a promise. He promised that he would come back to Lexington during the off seasons and continue to work towards his degree. I, like most of you thought "yeah, sure you will." That's no judgement on Jodie or what type of person he is, I just know what I would've done during the off-season and it wouldn't have had anything to do with school work, I'm just saying..
Well, here we are, a few years later and Jodie kept up with his end of the bargain as he is scheduled to graduate from the University of Kentucky in a few short days. There is a press conference scheduled for 1 p.m. tomorrow.

Us here at Big Blue Corner would like to congratulate Jodie Meeks on achieving one of his goals and earning his degree. We would also like to apologize to Jodie Meeks for that whole Billy Gillispie thing.
Also worth noting is what Jay Bilas said about Jodie's upcoming graduation...
"Former Kentucky star Jodie Meeks will graduate from UK this weekend, further tarnishing UK's reputation as a basketball school. Damn."
